I'm curious -- was it your intent that Sheridan's speech in the
Summoning be frightening to the audience? I'm watching him talk, and
thinking:
- If Kosh is to be believed, Sheridan's supposed to fight legends...
Instead, he's turning himself into one, saying in effect "I'm the only
man to survive Z'Ha'Dum, so do what I say, for I am now legendary and
Know Best(TM)." Exactly the sort of thing that's gotten Delenn in
trouble, and that the Vorlons have been doing to annoy him.
- He's talking about eliminating the threat not for now, not for a
thousand years, but forever. The unspoken word that leaks through:
genocide. Delenn has warned him about becoming the enemy -- and even
the Shadows haven't engaged in genocide ('though the Vorlons,
apparently AKA the Real Enemy, seem to be getting going on it pretty
good.)
So, am I the only person who found these hints alarming? Were they
intended?
Thanks for a great show!
Jeremy

It was more than impassioned. And as far as that goes, Delenn was
trying to do some genicide of her own. These people are in danger of
becoming the enemy.

Having your 'heros' turn into genocidal maniacs isn't a sharp turn?

Yup, I'd say it's very likely that some people close to Sheridan are going
to be wondering about his attitude...and maybe even acting on it.
