You've joined us in deploring the recent trend towards
Squishing closing credits.
And, in an earlier article, you mentioned that credits
[in that case, who *MUST* appear in B5's opening credits
and why (re: AK and PJ)] are determined by AFTRA.
At the risk of opening a can of spoo . . . .
Where *ARE* the Craft Unions?
Where *ARE* the WGA and AFTRA?
What's the point of GETTING credit if
The station renders it UNreadable!
marty.t at salata.com, who wonders whether Union lawyers
EVER watch TV?
PS: As those of us who've seen the closing credits for
Lois&Clark: The Adventures of Superman
know, credits *CAN* be laid out on the screen so that
they are readable even if squished.
(Guess who produces&distributes L&C? Right, WB!)
Having written that PS, I now wonder whether B5's
ExecProd will give serious consideration to
REFORMATTING the credits on-screen? I know, I know,
there *is* that problem with different stations that
squish credits in different ways, but
Consider it a Challenge&Opportunity! <bfg>
PPS {sigh}: The .tag/SIG below reads an awful lot like
something that you or Harlan might have written.

WB determines and tells us how the credits are to be displayed; we have no
latitude in this.
