Joe,

First off, I'd like to add my voice to the chorus of others thanking you for
one of the best shows on TV. I've been a loyal viewer since the pilot, and
I was on the old GEnie SFRT area -- back before they split it into three,
although you probably don't recognize my name. I'm really looking forward
to the final two episodes of this season and, of course, to the two entire
seasons to follow.

I'm not sure if you've seen the following, which I posted to Usenet after
learning about your encounter with the trojan horse:

      > I think it's time to go after 500 hard disk drives at Paramount.
      > (No, I never liked ST)

In the past 36 hours I've received numerous pieces of nasty email -- some
quite clearly threatening -- that can be divided into two general categories:

a) Star Trek fans who missed the allusion I made in my post
*quickly brings hand past top of head while making a "whoosh" noise*

and

b) obviously well-meaning fellow B5 viewers who somehow thought that I was the
person that sent you the trojan.

I've replied to thoe messages in group (a) privately. I'm going to try and
stem the continuing influx of mail right now by saying:

I DID NOT SEND JMS THE VIRUS, and I'm sorry I ever posted that
message. It just seemed appropriate at the time, somehow.

     byron

Thanks in return...and the intent of your message was clear, I'm not sure
you have anything to apologize for, but lobbing one out there on general
principle will rarely cause distress.
