Joe,
Judging from the TV section of my newspaper, Ch. 21 (KTXA) in Fort Worth is not
showing B5 anymore. Do the PTEN stations have an obligation to show the
remaining episodes of Season 4? I have not called the station yet, but if they
(and other stations) have decided to not show any more episodes, will the debut
on TNT in January take care of this problem?
Would TNT begin with the last four episodes of Season 4 and then go immediately
into Season 5? Thanks for your help.

No, the final four contractually belong to the local stations; they may
not be showing it *now*, but should be showing it in October.

<< I'm keeping DC and David in my hip pocket for the moment; there are
an awful lot of writers who've wanted desperately to write for the show
in the last few years, who couldn't because I did two seasons alone. >>
One thing that has me curious -- when another writer does a B5 ep, and
you feel the need to ask for revisions, does it tend to be because they
don't have the characters' "voices" quite right, or do they throw in
elements that skew your arc? In other words, is it character or plot
that more frequently needs adjusting before going to film?

But then there was a star danced, and under that was I born.

It's never any one thing...it always varies from writer to writer.

sir,
just a quickie... my wife and I just got through Shadow Within and Dream in the
City Of Sorrows... we enjoyed both!
I've seen comments indicating that you consider about 90% of Shadow Within to
be "canon".... could you comment on what isn't? In that one, I particularly
enjoyed <?> finding out what made Morden do the deal with the devil (and that
he was always kinda odd acting), and I found the Sheridan storyline pretty
solid. It also seems to set a big precedent for PsiCorps ongoing attitude,
though I had a problem with the Donne character being (apparently) a
psychopath.
Loved just about all of City of Sorrows... and I agree with your forward, the
whole book sounded so much like your own work on the series that it started to
be hard to remember most of it (all of it) didn't happen in an episode or six!
Especially intriguing repeated references to Valen "going beyond" as opposed to
dying... I'm pretty sure I get what that means, can you comment on whether that
figures in to the remainder of the TV series?
I think you recommended both, and they are the first novels from the series
we've read. We're gonna probably end up reading them all just for fun, but
these really seemed to capture the show, and provided credible back stories.

"Going beyond" was left deliberately vague...we may see something of this
in time.
