I've encouraged my local comics shop provider to offer B5 merchandise.
I recently bought the Arcade Series Entertainment Utility: Shadow
Wars for Windows at Second Foundation in Chapel Hill NC. The
proprietor has slowly offered more merchandise.

Recently, he got in a couple of B5 t-shirts. I'll briefly mention that
I'm not thrilled about the $16 price tag. IMHO, this recent pricing
trend for t-shirts has been a step in the wrong direction, as this price
is waaay out of line with the cost of producing this merchandise. It is
only because of my fondness for the show that I would consider paying
16 bucks for a t-shirt.

However, I have to say, the t-shirts that I saw looked _horrible_. Not
the choice of design, but the production values. The colors were
mismatched, and looked really washed out. This is very bad for several
reasons. If these shirts looked good, I would have bought them.

I spoke to the proprietor, and he mentioned that several other people
have commented on how bad these shirts look. I asked him if he had
some sort of guarantee on the merchandise, and he said, no, he owns
these shirts now. The poor quality of these shirts makes me MUCH less
inclined to order anything via the fan club (now I want to SEE it before
I'll pay for it).

In addition, my local comics shop proprietor is stuck with merchandise
he probably won't be able to sell. He's out X dollars, which makes him
that much LESS LIKELY to order B5 merchandise in the future.

Frankly, I was really surprised at the poor quality of these t-shirts,
as you've mentioned many times how concerned you are with quality
control. The two t-shirts I saw were one of Mira Furlan, and one of
the cast.

Is the poor quality of the t-shirts I saw apocryphal?

Which shirts are you referring to? If they're the Creation shirts, they've
been up and down in quality, but they've started working harder. The All-U
shirts tend ot be extremely good.

If they're pirated shirts, there's nothing I can do to help you.
