I just received next week's issue of TVGuide (Canadian edition) and was
surprised by something written in it.
The Canadian version of TVGuide has been doing a "This Week in Television"
retrospective on the last page of the magazine for the past several
months. This week's featured the original Trek episode "The City on the
Edge of Forever" which originally aired on April 6, 1967.
What surprised me was the following, "Penned by famed science-fiction
author Harlan Ellison (but heavily rewritten by Star Trek Creator Gene
Roddenberry)...". Is this accurate? I was always under the impression that
Harlan Ellison wrote that episode on his own. This is the first time I've
ever heard any mention of Gene Roddenberry having anything to do with the
script for that episode.

Could you send me a copy of that issue? The info about Gene rewriting him is
totally incorrect.
Send it to me if you can at 14431 Ventura Boulevard, Suite 260, Sherman Oaks,
CA 91423, I would be vastly appreciative, so I can get it to Harlan, who can
correct their information.
