While musing over a bowl of Sugar Smacks this morning, it occurred to me to
wonder; is there a prostitution industry/problem on Babylon 5?
I guess I should break that question down a bit: if there is a prostitution
industry, is it considered a problem? With past and current references to
inter-species copulation, are there beings who sell their use of their bodies
to aliens for sexual reasons? Is this considered illegal, or in any way a
vice? Or is it accepted as just another way of earning a living? Recent
episodes would hint that such transactions may be acceptable, if not frequent
(although still tinged with the excitement of the taboo) if the price is
right.

...or was that "Let's Make A Deal"? I always get those game shows confused.

I think it would be next to impossible to prevent prostitution in an
environment such as this. And in some cultures, it would not be a big thing at
all, not illegal, and cultural behavior between members of the same species
that is allowable within that society is generally allowed on B5 as well,
provided that it does not affect anyone outside that species.
