Dear Mr. Straczynksi,
A friend of mine and I are both (modestly) successful freelance writers.
We are trying to put together a writer's group online with the idea of
exchanging work-in-progress for comment and general swapping of hints, war
stories and the like. The group would not necessarily be limited to
writers; readers who can positively critique our stuff would be welcome.
Our experience in online chat rooms has been dismal. The chat ("I like Sue
Grafton." "Yeah, me, too.") found in the chat rooms is not what we're
looking for.
Do you know of any newsgroups, chat rooms, fora or other venue that you
can refer us to?
Thank you! And thank you for the good writing on Babylon 5!

still laughing over it]

Not a one..this isn't something I'm current on. I know there's supposed to be
some kind of writer's IRC channel, but I've never actually been on the darned
thing.
