Right, my turn.

About 4 years ago or so, I just got out of college and was picking up
everything to go to a new job 3000 miles away, leaving behind girlfriend, 
close friends, family, and everyplace I knew.

Eventually, I would get my girlfriend (later to be my wife) and many of my
close friends out here, and build quite a nice little life for myself out
here. But there was a period of time where it was just me and my cat in a
strange place, in an overwhelmingly huge job. 

My lifeline was B5. To be corny about it, having a nice little story to
lose myself in gave me that quiet "moment of perfect beauty" once a week
that let me share something with friends back home, as well as friends who
came out here, and then with new friends made out here. Gathering for B5
once a week at a friend's house was sometimes the only time we'd get to
see each other all week when things got really busy.
