I've been wondering for a while -- Did you consider having
another actress (say, Tracy Scoggins) play Ivanova?  It
seems to me she could have handled this role.

As annoyed as I (and the rest of us) were with Claudia when she chose to leave,
at the same time I just couldn't justify recasting it like that.  It just
didn't feel right to me, and I suspect a lof of fans would've felt the same
way.
