In the original version of the script, Lyta Alexander didn't exist. Joe
didn't create her until he was inspired by the read haired female lead
in the 1990 remake of "Night of the Living Dead"...

I don't think that's entirely correct; I believe that it was there, but it was
a smaller role.  Once I had someone in mind, I expanded it considerably.
