I know you've had a truckload to deal with over the last few months,
but out of curiousity, did you ever get Quake 4 up and running?  Any
good?

As near as I can figure out, and those who advised me, I'd have to
install all new video drivers, and when the email comes with the
opening line, "In case your computer locks up after installation," one
tends to decide to do other things with one's time.
