JMS, are you aware of any magazine article or book that discusses the
impact of your public interaction through GEnie, CompuServe and Usenet
over the years? Has anyone done any analysis of what other TV writers
and/or producers have thought / done as a result? I'm just curious if,
in this age of blogging, there's anyone covering the history of what I
consider to be TV's first and unarguably most extensive blog-like
public discussion.

The main result has been an 20% increase in Reece's Pieces consumption.
 I have no idea why. (And the book Joe D mentions is about 60% valid
and 40% balloon juice.)
