Dear Amir,

Congratulations on the acceptance of your paper.

We completely understand your concerns regarding the current U.S. visa and immigration situation, and we appreciate you letting us know.

To help us maintain the quality of the technical program, we would encourage an in-person presentation whenever possible. If you are unable to attend, we hope that one of your co-authors may be able to present the paper on your behalf. If that is not possible, another attendee of HotStorage 2026 could also present the paper for you.

If none of these options is feasible, please let us know. As a last resort, given the circumstances, we will discuss the possibility of a virtual presentation with the organizing committee and get back to you.

We hope that one of the in-person options will work out, and we appreciate your efforts in finding the best solution. Please keep us updated on your plans.

Best wishes,

Young-ri Choi and Bryan S. Kim
HotStorage 2026 Program Co-Chairs

제목: [Hotstorage-chairs] Seeking Guidance on Presenting Our HotStorage’26 Paper

Dear HotStorage Program Chairs,

I hope this email finds you well. I’m writing to seek your advice and help regarding the presentation of our paper at this year’s HotStorage conference. Due to the ongoing U.S. visa and immigration issues, many international students, including myself, are currently at a high risk of being unable to re-enter the country if they travel abroad. As a result, our university’s visa and immigration services strongly recommend that we avoid international travel until the situation is resolved.

Given these circumstances, I wanted to ask what options might be available for presenting our paper. We are currently looking into whether one of the other authors may be able to attend the conference and present the work in person, but I would also greatly appreciate your guidance on how we should proceed given my situation.

As I’ve seen at other conferences in the U.S. and elsewhere, there is a growing number of speakers who are unable to travel due to visa-related issues. I imagine HotStorage may also be encountering similar situations this year, and I would greatly appreciate any advice or accommodations you may be able to offer.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Amir
