I'm interested in finding out more about the Buddhist sect you described in 
a S2 
ep about laughter being a key factor in enlightenment. I can't find any 
refrence to it real life, although not for lack of trying. Point me in 
the right direction?

There's nothing invented about the Dominicans.  They've been around for hundreds of 
years already (you may know them from Spanish Inquisition fame?--yet another sign of 
the elemental truth of Monty Python, incidentally).

Nuts...I'll have to go drag out my Zen books on this one...it's a
reference I came upon for "the laughing buddha," which features a very old
painting of same, and the thoughts on laughter and enlightenment.  That
might be a good reference point for starting off, at least.
