Granted that it's a possibly blessed long time until the B5 universe's story
passes "beyond the Rim,"...

Of what would you feel most proud as a legacy of B5 to the television culture?

a) economic telling of sf on TV (CGI usage, the B5 preplanning model...) b)
story that appeals to the highest common denominator, rather than the lowest c)
multi-year storytelling as a viable option d) all of the above or none of the
above...

I'd say the introduction of an epic or saga-like structure to the TV
format. A novel for TV, using all the literary devices of fiction, over the
course of years. I think, in the long run, that's what B5 will be most noted
for.

                                                                    jms

Since there's a possibility that we'll never know, I'm wondering what you'd
prefer to do with the war between mundanes and telepaths. Might this be a
thread for year 5? Or the sequel? Or is it not cinematographic enough
(episodes of people staring at each other), and thus scheduled to occur between
the two series (possibly to be used in a later movie)? Or should I just wait
for October?

Also, is your talk scheduled yet at next month's San Diego Comic Con yet?

Just another week, and you get to relax for two weeks... sorta.

Thanks,
KpK

Joe,

Now that we're into reruns....

It seems as if you've filled out John Sheridan's background rather more than
Delenn's. Is that just my imagination?

Just how much do we know about Delenn's background? Does John know more? I
don't think we've ever heard her parents' names, for instance. Are they out
there somewhere, and I just missed them? Is there a bio of her in the lurkers
guide?

Thanks. Oh, and about those reruns...now we can begin to savour the full
experience. Just begin though. Thanks again.

Anne

Your perception is basically correct; I kept Delenn's background more
vague to add to her mystery, and made Sheridan's more specific and grounded to
tie him more to Earth and more accessible.

                                                                       jms
