>> Without giving too much away, season 5 would be empire building. It
wouldn't be filler at all, but a logical extension of what has gone before.

This would be empire building that takes place *after* the final scene of the
final episode that you have said more than once you have *clearly* in your
mind?

If so, would it be fair to characterize a hypothetical Season Five as a 22 ep
prelude to "Crusade"?

Negative; season 5 would take place in 2262, 19 years before the "final
scene" you mention. And no, I wouldn't want season 5 to be just a setup for
the sequel; it was sketched out long before that became any kind of
possibility, and I have no interest in doing that sort of thing. We'd do one
or two small things, but no more than that.

If there were anything I could say, that I knew, I would say it. I
don't. Knowing, I would say. Do not know. So cannot say, as someone once
commented.

And thanks for the continued support.

We're doing a CDrom inhouse, a slightly subversive guide to the B5
universe, which we hope to have out by fall.

Hello, Joe;

413 was just on, and I really enjoyed it. It's one of those episodes with
very little (if any) that I want to fast forward passed on subsequent viewing
(my main criteria for the old P5 vote :-).

The most significant part about it, in my mind, was the heart- breaking
performance by Mira. Wow. That scene in the video room of the White Star (and
later, when she speaks of Lennier) had me in tears. *sniff*

The way you used her real life was almost criminal, but very moving. Thank
you.

As Sheridan was laughing during breakfast, it dawned on me that his
laughing corresponded to the group's discussion. When they brought up a point
that had to do with the League, he'd chuckle or laugh. Was it a case of him
having already been through that in his head, or was it a case of them helping
his thoughts along? Or was it just a weird coincidence?

And that scene brought back a memory of Richard Biggs commenting in either
an interview or at a con about how he has sometimes seen you at lunch: sitting
in a world by yourself. :-)

Boy, am I glad Sheridan's intentions are good. Anyone who learned about
his little scheme, and didn't know him, might take great exception to it. But,
man, was it fun to watch. And a wonderful job by Peter, Ron Campbell, and
Jonathan Chapman.

Did I notice Ivanova's eyes flicking back and forth like she was reading a
teleprompter? If so, then that's a *very* nice touch!

Someone on another network commented that Sheridan was his old, happy self
through most of this episode, and I have to say that I agree. I think this new
freedom to do what he knows needs to be done is giving him a hell of a rush.
But could it be addictive? The Sheridan we've grown to know and think we
understand isn't the type to be carried away with power. But this isn't quite
the same Sheridan, is it? Delenn, herself, admitted that.

But it was good to see him snapped back to the less joyful reality of life
when he heard of the fighting on Minbar. You could see his heart paining with
concern for Delenn. That, too, was a nice touch.

And I hereby cast my vote for Neroon NOT being a bad guy. It looks to me
like he and Delenn have cooked up a little ploy to get the right people in the
right place at the right time. Lennier knew nothing about it (or did he?), but
Delenn's reaction is probably akin to Sheridan's look of defeat when the League
demanded White Star protection.

Yeah, I think he's still on her side. At least, I hope so.

Heck, only four down and five more to go before the big break. Yikes! And
it looks like Clark gets nasty next week. Uh-oh.

Thanks,

  -- Brent

Yeah, we had Claudia use a teleprompter there to add to the sense of
having to read something...and enjoy the happy-go-lucky Sheridan...it's the
last you'll see of him for a long time....

                                                                    jms
