Sure, if all you want is to engage in the wholesale slaughter of other
Earthforce officers.  You have the fighters and the Whitestars trying to
disable rather than kill all those ships.  Sheridan is trying deliberately
to *minimize* loss of life while achieving his mission objectives, not an
easy thing.
