Actually, it wasn't a test screening, it was a screening for cast and crew.

So, it's possible that the person who gave the glowing review was probably an
insider and probably biased to give a good review.
I say this because one of the things I'm looking forward to is seeing how
non-fans react to the movie, i.e. what are regular critics are going to say.
Are they going to really like it and encourage non-fans to check out?
I'm assuming most fans will be happy with it.
When I read the review I was very encouraged, but maybe I should wait.

Not necessarily. A number of folks not directly involved with the show, who
didn't know diddly about B5, were invited as sort of guinea pigs to see how the
show would be received, and many of those on the show brought friends who
hadn't seen it before, so it could've been anyone.
