One of the things that really grabbed be about this episode was one of
the camera shots that I saw. At the end of the scene with Lenier and Vir
at the bar, the camera follows Vir as he walks out of the bar, down a hallway
and gets into the elevator thingy. The camera then tilts to the left, the lighting
changes slightly and then the camera starts pulling back as Londo walks
into the hall in his dream sequence. The camera leads Londo out into a
now empty bar that has slightly different lighting than it did a few seconds
ago when Vir and Lenier were in it. This was a SINGLE UNINTERUPTED
SHOT! Eventually the shot changes to what looked like a camera strapped
somehow to Londo which finally ends that one long shot. It was pretty
impressive that they managed to get all those people out of the bar and
change the lighting so quickly.
Questions:
1) Was it just me THINKING that the lighting had changed or did it actually
do so?
2) Was the scene shot with a steady cam mounted to someone or was
that some sort of boom (or was it the floating cameras that ISN uses)?
3) Was the long single shot the idea of the director or was it spelled out
in the script by JMS?
Camera/Scene tricks like that with single unbroken shots always
impress the hell out of me for some reason. Great job. And of course,
as always, I loved the episode.

We did the light change, and enhanced it further in post.

We attached the camera to his body.

It was in the script.
