And I have the same question.  It's been bugging me since the first time I saw
SIL.

Why "even" and what kind are "people (or folks) like us"?  At first it seemed
to refer to the B5 characters as the stereotypical 'misfits and screwups make
good' which, for the most part they *weren't*.  Now that I reread your intro to
the scriptwriting book (thanks Arkham!) it seems to refer more to everyday,
normal, ordinary folks.

Is it one of these or something else?  I don't usually quibble over one word
but it seems to be an important one word in this case.

It's really both.  That flawed people, normal people, can have second chances,
even we may think (rightly or wrongly) that we don't deserve them because we
*are* flawed.
